Caroline Irby
Caroline Irby

Caroline Irby’s work, both as a photographer and in film, is characterised by an empathy with her subject and an innate feel for light.
Her stories and portraits regularly feature in magazines both in the UK and internationally, and recent film clients include Channel 4, Hipp baby food and Burberry.
Her first book, ‘A Child from Everywhere’, for which she photographed and interviewed one child from every country in the world now living in the UK, was published by Black Dog in 2010 and was the subject of a recent exhibition at the V&A Museum of Childhood. Channel 4 also commissioned Caroline to make a series of four short films from the material, which were broadcast in March 2009.

James Midwinter

James Midwinter is a photographer and film maker based in London.

Cinema is extremely influential in his work and his love of the apocalypse, smoke and violent, dark subtexts is interesting, if slightly worrying.

His style of faded, bleak, desaturated imagery is probably a reaction to his cosy, powerfully middle class upbringing in verdant Leamington Spa.
